What began as 1.5 acres has flourished into a magnificent 15-acre haven, embodying their dedication to exceptional coffee.

THE ROAST

FULL CITY ROAST - DROP>388.4°F

After extensive cupping at three distinct roast levels, we discovered that the flavors best complementing this coffee are achieved with a longer roast development than we typically aim for. Our selected medium-dark roast distinctly brings out notes of hazelnut and chocolate, while carefully avoiding overpowering acidity and maintaining a delightful balance of fruitiness and sweetness.

Nestled high in Colombia’s Sierra Nevada, near the village of Palomar, lies a hidden paradise where a network of family farms cultivates exceptional coffee. Palomar, an Evangelical Christian hub at 1,400 meters above sea level, is the gateway to this unique region.

Starting with just 1.5 acres and a dream, Avelino Rodríguez, his wife Luza, and their ten children dedicated themselves to their farm. Over the years, they expanded their land to 15 acres, and with Agrocafé's guidance, they significantly improved both their yield and coffee quality, transforming their farm into a thriving coffee haven.

We selected a Full City roast (drop: 388.4°F) to elevate this Caturra’s profile. The extended development draws out velvety hazelnut and dark chocolate notes, softens acidity, and preserves its fruity sweetness. The result is a clean, comforting, and deeply satisfying cup.
