Our Decaf Catuai coffee is grown by the Rodriguez family in Sierra Nevada, Colombia. Using the Swiss Water Process, a chemical-free method that removes caffeine while preserving flavor, this coffee retains its rich, natural taste. Grown since 2021 at 1400m, it reflects the region’s unique terroir.

THE ROAST

Half City

Our Colombia Catuai Decaf is roasted to a Half City level with a drop temperature of 365.4°F. This light-medium roast preserves the coffee’s natural sweetness while adding gentle roast depth. It enhances notes of brown sugar, almonds, and cinnamon, creating a smooth, aromatic cup with balanced body and a soft, lingering finish without overpowering the origin.

Origin

In Sierra Nevada, Colombia, Avelino Rodriguez and his family grow Catuai at 1400m. We’ve partnered with them since 2021. Grown with care and decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process, this coffee retains its natural sweetness and mountain character.

Farmer

Avelino Rodriguez, his wife Luza, and their ten children run their family farm with pride. Their high-altitude Catuai crop, hand-tended and traditionally grown, is now part of a decaf journey—preserving both flavor and the legacy of Sierra Nevada growers.

Cup

Roasted to HALF CITY (drop: 365.4°F), this decaf offers a soft, aromatic cup with notes of brown sugar, almonds, and cinnamon. The Swiss Water Process keeps the profile clean and true, while the roast adds gentle nuttiness and smooth, comforting depth.
